The Founding

Jatom Systems Inc. (JSI) is founded by James MacDonald and Tom Skinner. JSI Systems Engineering Division starts providing technical consulting services to the Canadian Penitentiary Service.

1982

JSI Enters Lawful Collection Market

JSI releases its first product, the J1044 loop extender, encoding telephone line signals for delivery to Dialed Number Recorders (DNRs).

1983

Age of the Microprocessor
Ushers in the J1033

JSI releases its own DNR, the J1033, the first microprocessor-based DNR in Lawful intercept history.

1988

Industry-leading LI Hardware Solutions

JSI releases the J2066 dial-up system and the J2033 6-line DNR, becoming the dominant products in the North American Lawful Intercept market.

CALEA

1994

Shaping Industry Standards

JSI is a founding member of CALEA (Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act) and helps define requirements for analog to switch-based delivery with the 1994 CALEA Act.

JSI Becomes Leading LI Software Provider

JSI introduces VoiceBox 2, a software-based solution for collection and audio call detail record (CDR) collection.

2005

JSI Launches Unified Collection Management

JSI releases its “Unified Collection Management” platform for collection and analysis, evolving beyond traditional telephony to video, IP, and more.

2015

JSI Evolves into 4Sight Data Analytics Suite

JSI evolves and rebrands its expanding product suite of collection, monitoring, and analysis tools for Law Enforcement, Intelligence and Security organizations under a single name – 4Sight.

2019

JSI Doubles Down on Usability with 4Sight Apps

JSI takes a modular approach to the 4Sight platform with 4Sight Apps, including reporting, exporting, warrant management, and dashboards.
